was founded in August 1980 by the consulting company Emberstar Limited, whose core activity was providing consulting services in the automotive industry.

From the year of 1987, Emberstar Limited changes its name into Megatrend IEC. In the same period, the company is being additionally reinforced by established professors, such as professor Sung Jo Park, professor Jean – Jacques Chanaron, professor Tetsuo Abo, professor Nomura Masami, professor Ulrich Jürgens and many more world recognized scientists.
Since 1991, Megatrend IEC has provided consulting services within the project of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, on the subject “Consequences of robotization of the assembly lines in the automotive industry”.

From the beginning of 1987, Megatrend IEC organizes studies of management in London, on the polytechnic level, as well as MBA courses. By the end of 1989, these studies have been successfully completed by 142 students, coming from different countries.

From 1989, Megatrend IEC decreases its activities in London and intensifies its operations in Belgrade, based upon the official document issued by the Ministry of International Economic Affairs.
In the period from 1989 to 1994, more than 2500 students had passed through the studies of Megatrend IEC, which have been on the level of a business school, and the relevant ministry has validated their diplomas.
Since October 1994, Megatrend IEC is gradually switching to virtual studies, and it was the first time that this kind of studies has been conducted in the region of Southeastern Europe. The Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), which is Serbia’s public television network, broadcasted live from the Megatrend IEC. The broadcast was handled by the famous reporter Sonja Djuric.
Today, Megatrend IEC London is mostly providing consulting services in the field of stock- exchange business, and the number of students, which are being admitted to the virtual studies, is limited to 10 per year.
